MAKING A CLAIM IS EASY

Need To Make A Claim?

At IPS we understand that as our customer, the most important time you will need our assistance is if an event occurs that results in you needing to lodge a claim. Often the event will be very stressful, so more than ever it is now that need our help, support and guidance.

It is our role to assist you from notification of claim event to claim finalisation.

To get a claim commenced it is as simple as picking up the phone and calling us to notify us of what has occurred. It is beneficial if you have as much information as possible available when you call, but if you are unsure of what you require, we will guide you.

If you prefer to lodge the claim and deal directly with the insurer, that is fine too. To assist you in this regard, we have listed phone numbers and links to a range of insurers, below;

Things To Remember

  • Any occurrence that may give rise to a claim, should be reported as soon as possible.
  • What should I do if I have a vehicle accident?
    • Record the name, address, phone number, email address, licence number and insurer of other drivers involved, and the registration numbers of their vehicles.
    • Try to get names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of witnesses.
    • Notify the police as soon as possible.
    • If your vehicle is not driveable and you have comprehensive cover, arrange for it to be towed somewhere safe. Make sure you have the address details so that you can let us know where your vehicle is located
  • Do not admit liability to a Third Party for loss, damage or injury.
  • For small losses your insurer will generally require you to obtain 2 quotes for repair/replacement.
  • You should take all reasonable precautions to prevent further loss, damage or liability. This may include carrying out emergency repairs.
  • Contact the Police as soon as possible to report any theft, attempted theft or malicious damage.
  • For large losses it is likely that your insurer will require an assessor be appointed. Please notify us immediately so that we can assist in this process.
